A Tribute

Germany's very own Hans Zimmer, soundtrack composer for The Dark Knight, wrote a haunting piece for the Aurora, CO victims. 100% of the proceeds will go to the families and survivors & I recommend you download this on iTunes or elsewhere... As I've read, apart from the horrible tragedy that they have to deal with, a few are having real trouble paying their own medical bills. Many thanks to Chris Huelsbeck for the note on facebook.

How Mr.Weese almost ended up in "Back to the Future"

I've just recently re-discovered the novelization of BTTF Part 1 by George Gipe in which I once highlighted the name with my text marker: A minor character called "Weeze" was supposed to "lend" Marty McFly his skateboard... Ah, that would've been nerd paradise for me... http://backtothefuture.wikia.com/wiki/Weeze

Felix Austria

I know it's Latin. But ever since Harry Potter Vol.6 introduced "felix felicis", I'm assuming that people will understand what that headline means ;) Anyway, here's a great story I came across today: The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster has now been officially approved by the Austrian authorities issuing driver's licences: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-14135523
